How to wear the tiny neck Scarf

I’m not sure exactly when or how it happened, but seems like the small neck scarfs are back in fashion! I purchased this green printed one in a vintage store in Rotterdam, but I’ve only worn it once in New York last year. Until today!

The tiny scarf is a great accessory to style with casual and preppy outfits, I love how it adds an unexpected twist and pop of colour. The jeans, blouse and sleeveless jacket are by Oasis, all of which I picked because I know they’ll be great staples to mix and match with. Speaking of my outfit, I really have a thing with Oasis jeans! They’re the only ones I can order online and count on to fit me perfectly.

For these pictures, we ventured out to Amsterdam Noord, a cool urban, arty area in Amsterdam which you can simply reach by taking the ferry from behind the central station. Cool backdrop for photos, no?

Because the tiny scarfs are here to stay, I’m sharing with you 3 styling ideas:

1. With a chambray shirt
Wear the tiny neck scarf with a pair of ripped skinnies, a casual chambray shirt and a funky pair of loafers for a look a la Parisian.

2. With a white dress
Go preppy all the way by combining a white dress with a neck scarf in a cute, pastel colour. Finish off the look with a pair of white converse or cute flats.

3. With a deep vneck
A funky neck scarf pops out best on bare skin. Whether it’s a v-neck sweater, a sleeveless jacket without a t-shirt underneath or a low cut blouse, it all works. This is a great summer styling idea!

Has the tiny neck scarf found its way to your heart yet? What’s your favourite way of styling it?
