Exploring LA from the Hollywood Hotel

After a whirlwind trip to New York and the Hamptons, on June 9 it was about time to tick off another major destination off our bucket list. What am I talking about? LA! When you’re exhausted from a long day of travelling the best feeling is to enter your hotel room and find the most relaxing vibe and king size comfy bed. Welcome to the Hollywood Hotel…

From old to new
Established in 1903, the Hollywood hotel has a rich history situated at a prime location in Hollywood, close to all the must see’s when you’re visiting LA. The hotel is currently getting renovated and we absolutely loved seeing the progress, specifically in the rooms! Brand new furniture, a Scandinavian like interior vibe with cool minimal details and a cute balcony overlooking the garden situated in the centre of the hotel.

Location, Location
The Hollywood hotel is conveniently located close to major things to visit while while in LA, so it was a great starting point for our first days in the city. Especially for myself and Tatiane who’ve never been to LA before, we just had to go and see the Walk of fame (and take some cheesy #fromwhereistand photos) and go for a walk in the Griffith Park Observatory. There’s a metro station one block from the hotel that takes just about anywhere over town. Perfect! It’s also pretty much next door to all kinds of restaurants and eateries which was great and oh so convenient when we arrived a little late at night at the hotel. We spend most of our first day in LA in our hotel room catching up with work and a visit to Yoghurtland for some Froyo was a very welcome break.

It’s all about the details
If you’ve been following FashionContainer on instagram you’ve probably seen a few snaps coming by of our cool hotel room. I wouldn’t mind to copy paste the entire interior in my own home! From the patterned bathroom tiles to the massive clothing rack and printed curtains, the designer of this room sure has a fine eye for design! Cool details are also the colourful toiletries, in room coffee machine (yes!) and the comfy lounge chair in the corner make for a great place to come home in the always bustling and hectic city of Los Angeles.
