Best welcome ever at the Ritz Carlton in Herzliya

I think the title of this post already speaks volumes on how we feel about our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Herzliya, but let’s get into full detail. OK?

Hotel, Where are you?

But first things first. Because the journey from downtown Tel Aviv to the Ritz Carlton in Herzliya was a funny one. We’re not the most organized of people and a few days earlier while walking down the promenade in Tel Aviv we spotted a hotel with the name ‘Carlton’ just beside the sea. Without looking at the addresses or informing ourselves, we assumed this was our hotel for the last night. On the day supreme we arrived at the hotel, went to the front desk, only to find out this wasn’t actually our hotel. Whoops! Luckily a short cab drive further we arrived at the right place: hello Ritz Carlton in Herzliya. What an absolutely stunning, mesmerizing location. This promises to be an exciting few days…

The best of Welcomes

Now let’s get rightto what we loved most about the Ritz Carlton in Herzliya: it was the most personalized and kind way we’ve ever been welcomed! Our room’s keycards where presented in an envelope with each of our pictures on it and upon entering the room we found the sweetest note, chocolates and another picture of the FashionContainer team (click here for a photo to see what it looked like). We were ready to cry. But really. These gestures mean so much.

Is this even real?

Large balcony, looking out over the sea and harbour with hundreds of boats from a comfy chair. My oh my, we are lucky people. The room is airy, with plenty of natural light coming in and a pleasant beachy blue and white modern vibe. Nespresso machine, bottles of water: comfort and little pleasures at its best. To top it off, there’s a gigantic bathroom with bath tub, large mirrors and plenty of space for us two girls to store all our make-up and toiletries. Big score!

Herzliya

Herzliya is a city at the Northern part of the Tel Aviv district and it covers an area of 21.6 square kilometres. It’s a 15 minute cab drive from downtown Tel Aviv, so it’s actually very near to the hustle, bustle and excitement of the big city. One of the advantages of Herzliya? In our point of view, the beaches here are more beautiful and quieter! The hotel is situated right at the port with many restaurants, bars another places literally at your doorstep, so you really have it all.

Hotel Life

The Ritz Carlton in Herzliya is home to the incredible kosher Herbert Samuel restaurant. We had lunch here and it truly is heavenly. You can read more about it in the food hot spots posts. The lobby of the hotel is set up beautifully with flower arrangements. Lilies and orchids everywhere throughout the hotel make for a heavenly atmosphere. I think the what will stick with us most about the Ritz Carlton experience is that it’s really one that truly cares about the whole experience, the little things and gestures from the moment you step in until you leave. It makes the journey ‘complete’ and makes us look back in complete awe.
