Getting stuck in the same old clothing combo’s? Then here’s a trick to start mixing and matching. It’s all about midi skirts and light dresses.
I’ve got so many summer dresses that are well, very cute but not so versatile. Printed, light dresses that serve no other purpose than putting on a pair of simple sandals and ready for the beach you are. Here’s how you can wear them beyond summer.
1. Wear them with midi skirts
Let’s just start with my very favourite way to give summer tunics and dresses a new purpose. Wear it with a midi skirt like I’m doing in this outfit! This works best with an A line style so you won’t notice the extra fabric underneath. First put on the dress, then simply add the skirt over it and carefully tuck it in.
2. Skinny jeans & boots
Throw on a printed tunic (you know, the ones you wear on the beach) over a pair of ripped skinny jeans in grey or white. Then add a pair of cute camel booties and done you are.
3. Rolled up tucked in trousers
Because summer dresses and tunics are often made from a light fabric, you can easily roll them up a little and then carefully tuck them into a pair of trousers for a more top like feel. Add a leather jacket and chunky statement necklace for a bit of extra funk.
What’s your favourite way of mixing and matching your wardrobe?
