Ruched

Oh, I’ve got such a soft spot for this skirt. I mean, it’s ruched, it’s a maxi and it has a side split. Enough reasons to love it, no? Perfect day time attire with a shirt tucked in and a layered necklace which I don’t recommend since all they do is tangle.

I bought this relaxed shirt on Asos recently and even though I love wearing it casually tucked into a skirt, it’s equally good layer material with a jumper over it. You could say that I’ve gone slightly overboard with purchasing flat sandals lately (I mean honestly, 4 pairs in one month) but I’d have to defend my decision by saying that it’s all I want to wear during our stinking hot Aussie summer days. Plus, I truly believe that flat sandals can be just as chic as heels, especially when it involves a rich croc pattern and cool metallic buckle on the side.

I’m really looking forward to wear this skirt more dressy with a plunge top and some strappy high heels soon! Maybe an idea for a Christmas outfit? After all we’re in the middle of summer here in Australia, so wearing a festive white outfit kind of makes sense. The late afternoon light in the Fremantle harbour worked its magic on these photos, I think it’s fascinating how the right light can change just about anything in a photograph. Of course Hassan’s ever evolving photography skills help too.
