There’s nothing that gets the FashionContainer team more excited than travelling to a city we’ve never been before, meeting new people, get a taste of a different culture, all while staying at a cool, local hotel that gives us a first taste of everything that Tel Aviv is about. Welcome to the beautiful Lily & Bloom hotel!
Design Lobby
The first thing you notice upon entering is the cool lobby design. The hotel used to be a bank and the original facade has been kept intact. The lobby set up is both cozy as modern, with high ceillings creating a sense of air and space. The lobby is also the place where breakfast is served daily or if the weather is nice, there’s a terrace so to kick of your day in the sun! Everyday from 6 to 8 there’s happy hour with complimentary drinks and snacks, which is at the same time a great opportunity to socialize with other guests and exchange experiences.
Stylish rooms and prime location
Sleek, minimal design with some cool quirky details and a touch of art. Perfectly aligns with our taste! Beautiful, comfy bed with white linen (our fave!), a selection of cool books to sift through and a little desk which we thankfully made use of to catch up with some work. Lily and bloom hotel is located a tiny walking distance from Rotschild boulevard and Allenby street, THE place where all the nightlife action happens.
‘Petit Dejeuner’ by Ms. Lily
Breakfast at Lily & Bloom hotel deserves a paragraph of its own! With a large variety of delicious cheeses, olives, typical Israeli dishes such as eggplant filled with humus, sweet potato with feta cheese and traditional baked goods there’s something for everyone’s liking. We decided to kick off our Israeli stay with traditional egg dish Shakshouka. It’s a dish of poached agges in tomato sauce with chili peppers, onions and fresh herbs. Really filling, but oh so delicious. You guaranteed won’t be hungry for a long time after devouring this dish! Another big plus were the excellent cappuccinos they serve at Lily & Bloom. We mentioned this before, but we always secretly judge hotels by the quality of their cappuccinos ;).
Cool, young staff
Lily and bloom was our very first hotel stop while in Tel Aviv and knowing absolutely nothing about our whereabouts, the city, how to get around, where to eat, go out and so on it was great for us to be able to ask tips from the staf. Many of the staff members were in the same age group as ourselves and is thus exactly capable of understanding the kind of places we’ll like.
Very Happy hour
Another cool touch of the hotel is the daily happy hour! Take a complimentary glass of cava, eat some yummy snacks (they’re good!) and simply sit down at the terrace and have a chat with the other guests. We both love how this social aspect is incorporated in the hotel’s culture, it really gives just that little extra dimension to your stay. Almost as if you’re catching up with a group of old friends!
What I’m Wearing
Last but not least: what am I wearing? I love this voluminous midi skirt from Necessary clothing! It’s made from a rich, well fitted fabric with a palette of different neutral colours and I opted for a white minimal body suit to go with it. With an eyecatching skirt like this one, white definitely is my go-to colour. I finished off the look with a burgundy lip, statement necklace and nude heels. This is the outfit I wore on our first night in Tel Aviv when we went out for drinks and I got so many comments about the skirt!
