A little styling favourite of mine is mixing textures. It’s something I love to implement in my outfits, because it makes them stand out regardless of wearing non-colours such as black, white and grey.
Late afternoon has been my favourite time to take outfit pictures lately. It’s only then that temperatures are starting to cool down and I don’t feel like I’m dying after being outside for 5 minutes. After a not so fun event last weekend (I literally fainted after standing too long in the bright sun), I’m more careful and try to avoid the strong afternoon sun as much as possible.
Last Saturday I went for a little shopping spree for birthday presents for my mom and boyfriend, but also ended up buying some things for myself. I feel like it has been ages I’ve purchased something in an actual shop, as I do most of my shopping online these days. I got myself some amazing new MAC lipsticks, I’m wearing ‘Lady Danger’ right now! It’s super long lasting and the colour is divine.
As to the outfit I’m wearing, most of the pieces are fairly ‘old’. Well, the skirt is is actually still in stock where I bought it, find it here, so how old can it really be? The necklace actually has a fun story to it. I saw one of my good friends wearing it when I was still living in the Netherlands and from that point I was obsessed to find it, because I loved it so much. I travelled to at least 10 different H&M’s in the Netherlands but with no luck. When I gave up my search and was killing some time at Amsterdam airport before boarding my flight to Turkey, I ran into it by coincidence. Seems like finding things is impossible when you’re looking for them and so easy when you’re not.
