8 Important Places You Should Not Miss On Your First Eurotrip

If you’re looking to plan a first time Eurotrip, there’s a lot of excitement in store for you! With so many bucket-list destinations, encompassing such diverse cultures, landscapes and climates, it can be hard to map out your Eurotrip route.

However, there are some cities that simply must be on any European holiday itinerary. And with the amount of last minute holidays available at affordable prices, it’s not too late to organise a trip for this upcoming summer! Take a look at the list below for inspiration.

  1. Berlin

The super cool German capital has a unique edge that will automatically makes you feel that little bit hipper. There’s lots of history to soak up and one of the highlights is the Berlin Wall East Gallery, where the ruins of the infamous wall acts as a canvas for talented graffiti artists. The notorious nightlife is something to get involved in too – try your luck getting into Berghain nightclub, a nightclub that is literally open all weekend.

A city so beautiful that is has UNESCO World Heritage status and was used as a filming set for Game of Thrones, you’ll find Dubrovnik in Croatia. Take time out on its Adriatic Sea beaches, stroll around the quaint old time or visit the museums to learn about its long, fascinating history.

From the swinging 60s on Carnaby Street to Henry Tudor’s Tower of London to Borough Market (which dates back to the 13th Century) – London is home to many historical landmarks and stories. Visit the galleries and museums in the West, make a day of it at the markets and pubs in the north or head south of the river to investigate cool new bars and restaurants.

Find a little bit of the Caribbean in Europe by taking a trip out to this Italian island. Expect near-perfect beaches, a glamourous way of life and plenty of sunshine. There’s also plenty of adventure to be had, from treks along its limestone cliffs to watersports in its Med waters.

Paris is the perfect place to treat yourself to chic new clothes, indulgent pastries and entry into some of the world’s most famous landmarks. It is also home to some of the most beautiful parks around: Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin des Plants and Tuileries to name a few. Head up to Montmartre to sample the bohemian way of life or live the high life in St Germain.

Those who are looking to party will find some of the most renowned clubs on this Balearic Island: Space, Pacha and Amnesia. Club entry and drinks don’t come cheap but then again this is probably the most famous party island in the world. However, Ibiza does have a quieter side, where you can relax on the beach and raise a glass to the beautiful sunset… or sunrise!

Brimming with ancient history, Crete is Greece’s biggest island, offering sleepy fishing villages and accommodating resorts. Explore the Palace of Knossos, Hania Old Town and the Arkadi Monastery to really take a step back in time. It’s also an ideal opportunity to try out the Mediterranean diet and try get the enviable glow and olive skin that all Greeks seem to posses.

With a landscape like that out of a fairytale pop-up book, the Hungarian capital has some wonderful Gothic architecture. It’s also the place to try out a huge selection of local beers! Take a walk around the historical sites then settle down in a pub to make the most of it.
