Oh, the pleasures of moving to a super charming neighbourhood in Perth. Yup, I’m now residing only a 5 minutes walk from this amazing spot.

Because I just moved to a new home, I was forced to go through my closet and make decisions on what to bring with me and what not. It resulted in 5 bin bags full with clothing to throw away, which is quite a lot considering I’m only living here since 1.5 years. I only brought a quarter of my wardrobe with my from the Netherlands, so I felt like such a hoarder! I donated everything to a good cause, which made me feel a little better about myself, but nevertheless I’ve decided to think through better before purchasing something. Instead of buying 10 dresses I’ll only be wearing once, I could have bought my dream bag. Wiser decisions, that’s one of my resolutions for 2014.

Today I’m wearing a dress which I’ve rediscovered while de-cluttering my closet. I love the way it’s versatile; unbutton it, put a belt around it, wear it with a jacket: it’s all good. Along with my snake print heels and Karen Walker sunnies, a casual dress turns into something more sophisticated.
