With over 30 hotels resorts along the Adriatic coast in Croatia, you could say that Valamar Hotels is a true leader in hospitality. We had the pleasure of staying at their Lacroma hotel just outside of Dubrovnik’s old town and you can find out below what we experienced.
Space, green & the sea
The hotel is exceptionally nice located on the peninsula of Babin Kuk, surrounded by lots of green and only a small walk from the beach. The hotel grounds offer lots of space with a big park, terraces to chill out and a pool. One of the main things we loved about Valamar is the fact that you have access to the facilities at the other nearby Valamar hotel locations as well. At Valamar President (just 200 metres from Valamar Lacroma), there’s a gorgeous lounge with the most insane ocean view, perfect for a sudowner. See pictures below of the views and vibe!
Overall vibe
The Valamar Lacroma hotel has a very modern, minimal and stylish vibe; from the rooms to the lobby and its wine bar terrace with views of the Elaphiti islands. Our room had a big balcony overlooking both the hotel gardens and the sea, which we made our spot to begin and end the day. We were welcomed with some little bites upon arrival in our room, the perfect touch for a good beginning of our stay!
Look of the day
The weather in Dubrovnik was a good 10 degrees higher than in Amsterdam, so that meant that shoes were changed for sandals and jeans swapped with dresses from the moment we arrived. I love wearing lots of white in summer (it’s still spring officially, but hey!), that’s why it was a no-brainer that this cute, collared crochet dress by Chicwish was coming with me to Croatia. It’s been a while that I’ve felt this obesessed with a dress and I’m sure that I’ll be wearing it LOTS in the months ahead. So yes, I’ll just go ahead and apologize in advance for outfit repeating this dress a zillion times.
Gotta love custom design
The silver sandals are custom designed by moi at K.Jacques. The St. Tropez based brand offers timeless quality sandals in beautiful leather. The best part? they’re completely customizeable in colour, print and style! I went for a classic silver toe sandal with a side strip in subtle grey snakeskin print. The quality is exceptional and because it’s such an easy to style sandal, they make for a great summer staple.
What I’m Wearing: Chicwish crochet dress, K. Jacques customized sandals, Michael Kors watch, Zara bag (similar here), Karen Walker sunglasses
