To my own surprise, I managed to pack very light for Brazil and Argentina. I used to be the girl that couldn’t stay under the 20 kilo limit even for a weekend trip away, but things have changed. It’s called growing up, I guess! So here I am, 3 weeks away from home, but with only about 3 pretty dresses to wear in my suitcase. This blue maxi (on Sale!) is one of them.
Tatiane and I probably picked the most stupid time of the day to go shooting on the beach. Midday. 40 degrees. Burning heat. I don’t know what about you, but looking nice in these kind of weather conditions isn’t something I can keep up for very long. Read: sweaty faces and uber frizzy hair. Not exactly what you want to see on photos! Luckily this cobalt maxi and the stunning location of Copacabana beach made shooting easy. Tatianes photography skills definitely helped too! You might remember it from the very early days of the blog when I still lived in the Netherlands, but Tatiane has been helping me out a lot with my outfit photos. You can find one of our very old shoots here.
Normally I’d have added some accessories to this outfit, but because we’ve repeatedly been advised not to wear any because of the many robberies occurring, I decided against it. The extremely hot weather doesn’t make me very eager to accessorize anyway, so no big deal. Even the dress, despite its light fabric, was too hot to wear on a day like that. I honestly couldn’t wait to change to easiest attire to wear when the weather is unbearable: denim shorts and a light top. After shooting, we headed to the first beach tent we came across to hydrate with fresh coconut and I ate the most gigantic fish I’ve ever had on my plate. SO yummy! Check it out here.
