The first Paris Fashion Week for the FashionContainer team was done in style! We made the Sofitel le Faubourg in the heart of Paris fashion district our temporary home and in today’s post I’m telling and showing you all about it.
The first thing you notice when entering the hotel is its fashionable ambiance. From the art work on the walls, haute couture in the lobbby and vibrant and sharp colour palette with touches of yellow. We were very warmly welcomed and shown to our room immediately. I can tell you: that moment of opening your the door to your hotel room for the first time never gets old!
Situated on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the streets, a gorgeous king size bed, all set in beautifully decorateds space: we fell in love immediately! Add on top of that a nespresso machine ready to be used and pure perfection happens right there settling down on the balcony with a cup in hand!
Location
We weren’t completely aware HOW good the location of the Sofitel Le Faubourg really was until we started planning our dinners, activitities and the shows the days ahead. When we noticed most of it was no more than a 5 minute walk, we couldn’t be happier. Because let ’s be honest, in a gigantic city often traffic jammed city like Paris that’s a heaven sent! Just around the corner of the Jardin Tuileries, the Louvre, Rue Saint Honore (you know, where all the great stores are!) and many of the best restaurants and bars. Life. Is. Good. The Paris fashion week shows were at different locations, of which some at the Jardin Tuileries (literally across the street from the Sofitel) and others for example at Hôtel Potockiand Hotel Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild which were super easy to reach for us by using professional driver service Blacklane.
Let’s get started!
We arrived around noon with a busy schedule ahead of us, so first things first: some good fuel to get through the day. We had a wonderful lunch at Stay Faubourg, ofcourse with a glass of champagne on the side to start the Paris adventure on the right foot! We spend the rest of the day shooting 2 projects and at night we were invited for dinner at a friends place.
What we did
While we were often on the go, the time we did spend at the hotel were enjoyed to the fullest! Lazing around on the balcony people watching (always a lot happening during fashion week, so never a dull moment), taking a long time brunching, trying out all the different fresh juices and ofcourse… sip on a cappuccino or 2! We even went for a little work-out in the fitness space. And yes, in all honesty, that’s the first time we’ve done so in our travelling history.
The outfit
The Sofitel Le Faubourg interior is very modern, sharp with a little funkiness. So what better outfit to wear in it than this super cool floral jumpsuit? Every now and then I like to go out of my comfort zone and this jumpsuit is definitely one of those moments. But oh my, how gorgeous is the print?
Concluding…
The most wonderful experience! Outstanding hospitality, friendliness, great service, good energy and ofcourse…. a fantastic location. Can we go back already? OK, let’s go.
