Rusty red is a really nice color from time to time, but oh so tricky to match! So today I’m sharing a few tips. In case you’re wondering where I am: I’m on the highest deck of the MSC Fantasia cruiseship, our home for the week.
Late afternoon it quickly cools down to a little below 20 degrees in Oman (still pretty amazing for winter, I know), so a blazer and a relaxed pair of trousers are the ideal outfit to wear. These are by Oasis, the brand I love the most for my closet all-rounders and basics! The fit never dissapoints.
Below my tips to style rusty red:
1. Wear rusty red with neutrals or pale colours, like this blue/grey blazer. Anything too bright worn with rusty red is likely going to look bad.
2. Combine the trousers with a white shirt. Preferably one with a longer length for a relaxed look.
3. When playing around with unusual colour combo’s, accessories pull together the look. Think of a bag in the same colour tone and other pieces that somehow match in colour or style.
