Do you ever spot an item while shopping that you just have to have, but once it hangs in your closet you’re not quite sure what to do with it? Totally the ‘problem’ I had with this skirt. Thankfully the big closet clean up I did a few weeks ago helped me seeing this skirt in a new light.

I’ve tried this skirt with literally every colour top in my wardrobe and my conclusion is that I only like it with white or grey on top. I’m sure that many of you will disagree and rather go for black, but I just have something against that colour combo. Once I set things straight, I went for this white Asos top with high neck and I’ve got no regrets. I guess pairing burgundy with white makes an ensemble just look a little more fresh than it would with a darker colour. Since the skirt is quite dressy, I brought in some contrast with these leather fringe loafers which have the magical feature of looking good with literally everything. You can see two of my outfits with them here and here. What’s your favourite? The red biker jacket on top was a little risky, but the colour seems to blend in quite nicely with burgundy and white.
Temperatures are suddenly rising in Perth (which makes me reminisce last year, when it felt like we jumped straight from winter into summer) and it seriously feels so good. I’m by the way writing this post from my veranda , one of the best things to do on warmer days if you ask me. You can check out a snap of my current workspace right here.
