the Marianne Blouse

Ready, set, surf? Not quite in this outfit, but hey, you get the point! Like you were able to read in our previous Costa Rica coverage, we spent a wonderful 5 days at Olas Verdes hotel in Nosara taking surf lessons. How cool is that, a luxurious hotel situated in the middle of the jungle that offers daily surf lessons? Pretty unique.

I’m wearing a printed blouse by Oasis that fits perfectly into the colourful surfboard backdrop. Along with white shorts that I must have worn a zillion times by now and studded sandals creating an effortless summery look. I can tell you this: it’s not easy to find pieces in the winter collection of stores that will work in 30 degrees weather. Luckily I was able to find a few pieces not only in happy, bright colours but also made from light and breathable material so wearing it in tropical weather is no problemo.

When walking around the hotel and surf school like dressed up like this, one of the surf instructors I passed on the way to our room asked: “Malena, you’re not taking surf lessons this afternoon?” When I told him I would, he gave me a weird look and asked why I bothered to dress up like that. Well, that’s a long story…
