Lotus blazer

Time for something different! Like I mentioned in the previous post, you’ll start seeing some more of Amsterdam on FashionContainer. We shot these pictures in a cool upcoming area of Amsterdam, de Baarsjes. It’s first and foremost a residential neighbourhood, but there are SO many nice coffee places and food spots to discover.

Different today is not only the setting, but also the style! I mean, I can’t remember the last time I wore such a statement blazer? Floral prints come and go, but one thing is for sure: they’re back in 2017.

As I’m getting older (wow, I feel like I’m starting to use this phrase way too often!! ;), my style starts to calm down a little, both in print and in colour. So when I do wear a statement print like this Oasis blazer, I like to make it the centrepiece of the outfit and keep the rest classic and simple.

I know, many of you probably wouldn’t consider a suede fringe skirt to fit in either the ‘classic’ or ‘simple’ category. But since it’s black and versatile suede I have to disagree. For a more boho look, I’d also love to wear this blazer with a long white dresss and simple white sneakers when summer comes.
