High on Highstreet / Topshop

As a fanatic online shopper, I almost daily check out my favourite three (you guess), so I’m always the first one to know about fabulous new arrivals. Sometimes weeks pass and by everything I see I think meh, but yesterday during my usual browse I was seriously wowed by Topshop.

The above image isn’t only an insight in what’s currently on my wishlist, it also gives some ideas on how to style a statement piece such as the colourful top with aztec inspired print and cute pom pom trim on the sleeves.

1. Pom Pom top

This top with cute pom pom finishing, made from a rich fabric is great to wear with denim or as shown above with anything white. Because this top stands out on its own, it’s best to pair it with a more neutral counterpart.

2. Lace skirt

Super feminine and body hugging garments are nice, but I don’t like to overdo it. For me this lace skirt is the best combo of both worlds, a very decent length yet body hugging. The colourful pom pom top is a great match, even though they’re such different styles. I think matching opposites like a decadent lace garment and a boho top can work very well when properly styled (note: silver sandals + watch)

3. Ripped jeans

I’m a sucker for a good pair of ripped jeans. If matching the printed top and lace skirt is a little too adventurous for you, opt for a white pair of ripped jeans instead. Tops in bright coloured prints come out best when paired with a light colour.

4. Two strap sandals

I could seriously go on and on about how versatile the two strap sandal is, especially when it features a barely there heel. Proof of my dedication to can be found here and here. Once you start wearing them, I bet you’ll be hooked.

5. Gold Watch

Move over, classic silver MK watch. This blue-gold contrast watch is going to be mine soon. Definitely the kick ass new accessory I need after faithfully wearing my silver one every single day for the past year. A  gold watch looks great with soft and warm tones such as orange, yellow or beige.

6. Silver leaf bracelet

If it’s silver and dainty, I love it. This delicate cuff bracelet is no exception and I think it will look great to ‘arm layer’ with a silver watch. I need some new accessories to wear on a daily basis and I think this one is versatile enough to throw on without even thinking about it.
