Like you’ve probably noticed if you visit FashionContainer regularly, I’m all about re-wearing pieces that I love. I personally think it’s a fun challenge and doing so can definitely save some dollars on your monthly shopping budget. Or not. Anyway, today I’m wearing an outfit that appears to be a top and a skirt put together but… it’s not. The top is actually one of my favourite dresses (you can see a previous outfit here), but styled with a white flared skirt it works as a top. Wearing: Black crochet top (Dress from Oasis worn as top), White flared skirt (Witchery), Kelya shoes leather loafers (or similar here), Black chain bag (Zara), Assorted silver rings [show_shopthepost_widget id=”310951″] Occasionally I also style dresses as skirts, for example like I did in this outfit that I wore in July. I simply added a structured top over the dress and created a whole new look. In order for this trick to work, it’s recommended to opt for an A line dress in a somewhat rich and textured fabric though. Voilà, now you’ve suddenly got so many more wardrobe options. I wore this on a beautiful and warm Saturday morning in town before Hassan and I went for brunch at Gordon St. Garage, of which I showed you some photos in my latest photo diary. The soft morning light in the park where we shot these photos turned out the perfect ambiance for this look. And what about you, do you style your dresses as tops or skirts sometimes?
