“Are you getting married?” is the question I got asked several times when I wore this. Well okay!
I disagree with people that think all white outfits should only be worn when getting married. That’s why today I’m sharing my own little guideline in how and when to wear an all white outfit.
1. Confidence
Only wear all white if you believe that all white outfits are perfectly fine to wear outside of your wedding day! If you don’t, you’ll awkwardly walk around all day anyway. So once we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s move to the next step.
2. Texture
Play with different textures to break up the ‘whiteness’. As you can see I wore crochet (the skirt), silk (the top) and a little bit of lace from the bra worn underneath. By playing with textures you add a different dimension to your look. More playful, less wedding like.
3. Accessories
The right accessories turn an all white ensemble in whatever style you want. I kept my accessorizing simple and to the point to achieve a romantic look. But you can also easily turn an all white outfit into something boho with a colourful bag and earrings or very glam with metallics.
I’m wearing a maxi skirt from Revolve’s Majorelle collection (oh so romantic!) and a top from Lovers + Friends. I wanted to let the pieces speak for itself with minimal accessorizing, natural (wild) hair and comfy sandals.
