A sunny afternoon in Key West, in the company of new and old friends, somewhere on a tropical beach. Sounds like the perfect day to me. It was, except for the fact that I felt terribly hangover that day.
Earlier that day we went for a big breakfast at Blue Haven, a place you just have to try when you’re in Key West. With a beautiful garden terrace, live music and the most delicious fresh food it’s the perfect place to enjoy breakfast with some friends. I’m glad we went there before we headed to the beach because the fresh juices and omelettes where just what I needed in order to beat the second worst hangover I’ve had in my life.
After breakfast we continued our drive, not knowing where to. That doesn’t really matter in Key West, because literally every corner of the island is so incredibly beautiful. Tatiane read something about Fort Zachary Taylor state park and when we came across it, we decided to give it a try and see where we would end up. Turns out? Bluest, prettiest beach ever.
My attire during our week in Key West mostly consisted of shorts and a simple top. You really don’t want to wear much else in the tropical heat. Here I’m wearing a pair of cotton striped shorts, the perfect white cami top from Oasis (that I sadly enough lost *insert sad face*) and comfortable studded sandals from Sam Edelman. Of course a beach outfit isn’t complete without a hat and a pair of gigantic sunglasses. Not just perfect to hide from the sun, but in my case also for covering a tired face and eyes.
What I’m Wearing: Oasis white cami, Zara striped shorts (similar here), Sam Edelman studded sandals, Catarzi hat, Karen Walker ‘Number One’ sunglasses, Michael Kors Lexington watch
