Singapore is an urban jungle! Urban for its many skyscrapers, Jungle because it’s so much greener (and warmer) than you’d expect. For our visit in Singapore we wanted to go beyond the predicatable spots. So no Disneyland for us. No Sentosa island. Instead, we did a whole lot of other fun things. 2 girls, 2 flights, more than 2 glasses of champagne: Singapore, we are coming! On a 14 hour flight you better get comfy. The always warm Jet Airways crew greeted us on board, bringing fresh juice and a refreshment towel. I\u2019ll never stop saying that great hospitality is in the details! Situated on a hill in a bay cove, Banyan tree Lang co sure knows what location is all about! Our suite faced the green hills and lake, a perfectly tranquil setting to wake up to and chill with a drink late afternoon. Banyan Tree Lang Co is perched in the middle of green and has a natural, spacious set up. In fact, there are no rooms. Just private villas. The richness of the space, the green, accompanied with being in the middle of nature is the perfect sense of calm you need. From Saigon, we flew to Hue in central Vietnam. 1 hour car ride later (with wi-fi, mind you!), we arrived at the beautiful Angsana lang co. Central Vietnam is still rather unexplored, which is great because the resort\u2019s coastline was as clean, pristine and empty as they come. No other resorts (except Banyan tree in the corner of the bay), no people, just a long stunning stretch of beach offering the best sunset walks. Hipster, fun, young, energetic, those would be a few words that Fusion Suites is all about. I guess Saigon was a surprise for me in many ways, one of them being the modern cool touches everywhere you go. In hotels, boutiques, cafes. Some feels very European and have perfectly blended in hip western stuff with local vibes. That\u2019s the cool thing about travelling because you get surprises in so many ways! There are good ways to arrive somewhere and bad ways to arrive somewhere. Arriving at Park Royal in Saigon was both. Bad because I was sick, good because it was the perfect spot to arrive to being sick! I was made hot Pho (vegetable soup with chicken), brought herbal tea and just generally nursed back to health within no time. The Park Royal Saigon is not a new hotel, but the rooms are everything you can expect from a 5 star hotel.
